Different people will develop different systems. The most important questions is the make sure you know what the system is SUPPOSE to do ... and does what it is SUPPOSE to do. From my experience any system that is complicated and difficult to comprehend, it is best to avoid.
Ideally, the system must be able to perform the following tasks in the following sequence of importance starting with the MOST importance first and Least importance last.
1.Identify Trend Change and Confirmation
2.Guide Trend Directional Flow
3. Map different trend phases (Start - Midway - End)
4.Predict Target (Optional)
