As long as the financial markets are not closed and functioning, irrespective whether it has political interference or not, there is a TREND, a directional one in motion.
Each and every cycle alternates with occasional interruptions of SIDEWAYS. Each Bear market gives birth to a BULL market. Similarly each BULL market gives birth to a BEAR. As each an every trend in all markets , products and instruments have cycles, I am indifferent to the emotional attachment to each trend.
Old dog has fought in the market trench for 30+ years. Tasting every sweet, bitter, salty, sour and flat flavors of the markets. As old dog age with time, the euphoric emotion gone stale. All old dog can smell and see if "NO HARD FEELING" slogan everywhere. It is like listening to The Beatles ...A Hard Day's Night 1964
It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright, oww!
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright, oww!
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
You know I feel ok
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
Oh, it's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright

Growing up as a kid in the 1960s listening to Beatles and Bee Gee as tells me, this old dog has survive and seen all sorts of things in life.
When one cannot detach and remove his or her emotion from the market, you are forever held a emotional captive or prisoner with invisible walls. What you see affects you emotionally and mentally. What you hear also affects you mentally and emotionally. When this happen, you can no longer make any FAIR and UNBIAS analytical judgment.
This leads you to erroneous trading or investing decisions.
When people ask me, what do you think or feel about the market? Irrespective whichever way the market moves, I AM TOTALLY NUMB. All I can think of ... WHAT ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES BEFORE MY EYES??? WHAT MUST I DO TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION???
RISK??? I BELIEVE IN MY SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN TESTED AGAIN and AGAIN, IMPROVED, IMPROVISED, PERFECTED and RELIABLE, well ignore my heart and discard my emotional baggage, I am sailing my ship effortlessly.
Let the wind and my sail do the job. I sit back and relax.
As for DJIA, look at VIX for clues.
Everyone KNOWS market goes UP and DOWN and sometime sideways. THE MOST PRECIOUS QUESTION IS WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN. The whole paradox is about WHEN or timing.
I am a firm believer .... WHEN THE TIME IS RIPE, EVERYTHING WILL FALL IN PLACE.
