If one put the nearest explanation about the financial markets... the theory and the applications, I can only put it that WE don't learn about the markets in the academic university despite completing the accounting, finance and economics subjects.
It is like we go to university to learn what a car is! The components, parts and software. But the only way to drive a car is to actually drive it on the road. Learn how to handle different situations on the road.
The only way to learn about market is to actually participate and experience every different trends.
Until today, I am not aware of any emphasis taught in the Finance Economic class that explain the importance of TIMING and CYLE and TREND.
